OK, then. I'm done with all the shopping, wrapping, delivering and hiding of presents. Time for some nog (actually not--more like margaritas by the pool).
It's been an interesting couple of weeks. I heard from a friend whose been in the hospital in Portland for the last three months with a rare kidney disorder. His disability benefits were initially denied, and he had no way to provide a xmas for his wife and son. Thru the generosity of some local (SoCal) peeps, we were able to send them some cash, gift cards, and prezzies just in time. I'm trying to teach my daughters that this is what xmas should be about--helping others and truly caring for your fellow travellers on spaceship earth. Everyone has shit to deal with, and if you can help to lighten someone else's load a little, it'll come back to you.
Have a fantastic holiday, filled with peace and happiness. Thank you all for being a part of my (online) community.
Forward, DRINK!
