Holland, I miss you.
You've been absolutely stunning to shoot in over the last few days. It feels so strange to be back in the concrete jungle again after spending so many long, hot nights sprawling out on the riverbanks, frolicking through the forest and letting my body sink back into nature.
I've had my boobs out in many splendid places, but this one might just top it. We shot in a giant lilly pond in the midst of a nature reserve. Nobody could be seen for miles, but the forest was alive with nature- drago
nflies darting in and out of the blueberry bushes, herons resting on the water's edge, so still and perfect they could be made of china. There were even long, ropes of silver water snakes weaving in and out of my legs. I felt like a tiny little water nymph, so immersed in nature that it felt wrong to leave and return to the ordinary life of a human being.
The Dutch live in harmony with nature, instead of shitting all over it with skyscrapers and roadkill and used condoms and shopping trolleys in the Thames like us English do. For miles upon miles, the landscape is untouched. There are purpose built road crossings for wild animals. Even in the buzzing centre of Amsterdam, humans and nature find a way to entwine and survive around each other- towering foxgloves and hyacinth sprout out of the cracks in the pavement and wind up buildings. Stray cats waltz around the city and are welcomed with open arms into restaurants, shops and coffeeshops. It's bizarre to go for a joint of a cuppa and not be greeted by at least one feline friend. This, of course, was my absolute dream come true, and I'm guessing if I did ever get to move over there, I'd end up living like a real life disney princess and giving up my whole house to a hoard of wild animals..... it's probably safer to stay in merrie England, in retrospect!
In fact, I've fallen in love with the country so much that I've decided to learn Dutch so that I can take up more work over there and spend a little longer getting to know this beauty.
But for now, I'm still missing her!
