I wanted to find a job in animation in Paris.
Now I want to leave for Vancouver. Because it's seems really nice and there're plenty of animation studio. It means I would leave my family and my cats... And much more of course but well..
So why going ito Paris and spend a lot of money if it's to leave 6 months after? I should find a job here maybe, and save money, then I'd travel on my benefits. A job that doesn't really interests me but anyway...
Plus Max thinks he's gonna stay at his boyfriend's even if its only 15m for two but they want to save money too so I wouldn't even live with him (which was a reason to go to Paris and have fun).
I want to make drawings or work on interesting projects, I don't want to animate shitty characters for shitty TV series here. I hope I can make people work on my own films on day. One day not in ten years uh.

i know how you feel. i'm in the same boat with my animation. best bet would be to just keep swimming i guess. keep working on new stuff and hopefully you can get a good following. the nice thing about canada is that there is the national film board.

ps- i saw on your profile you're from angouleme, do you know claire fouquet who teaches at eesi? she taught at my school in america this past spring. we traded teachers for a semester, so our teacher chris magee went there.
