Wow, my first ever suicide girls blog post and it has to be all mopey. Oh well, I guess that's how it goes.
I've been a member on and off for years now, enjoying Suicide Girls for both its bounty of beautiful naked ladies as well as it's other content. One of the things that I've always liked about it was that it allowed the models to participate with the site and communicate through their blogs as well as the photo sets that they put up. Now, if we're all honest, the main appeal Suicide Girls are the photos. However it is also great to have the social aspects (along with the articles and whatnot) to enhance the experience and make the whole thing a little bit different.
Today I re-joined the site after some time away, and discovered to my dismay that one of my favorite suicide girls, the lovely Flux, was no longer part of the site. And while there was still access to her various photo sets, all the rest of her presence on the site, her blog and whatnot, had been removed. Such is the case with all non-active suicide girls. And that... that seemed to be a great loss to me.
The personality and wit given to the site members through the blog entries for these lost girls was a fantastic part of the SG experience, and now it is gone. It's strange, but without the blog entries, the photo sets seem so much less approachable and far more like plain old pornography. Maybe I'm crazy, maybe I have some weird voyeuristic impulses (which, to be fair, I probably do) but it's just not the same anymore.
Is there a reason why the blogs are removed? Am I the only one who seems to care about this?
