Sixteen years ago I met the most gentle, tolerant person I have ever known. I grew up with him, and though we weren't brothers through blood (or even of the same species), I grew to love him more dearly than I have ever loved anyone or anything.
Three hours ago he died in my arms.
If our spirits live on after our bodies die, and if there is a journey before what is left of you, cat-brother, I wish you the deepest pleasures, the most satisfying insights, and at least as much love as you were surrounded by in life. You have surely earned a lofty seat in Heaven or Nirvana or whatever awaits us, and I hope that you will claim it without lingering too long. I would enjoy encountering you again in the hereafter or your reincarnation before I too am dead, but I would rather know that you were truly gone, ushered into final, restful oblivion.

I'm sorry you didn't get to know Pav better. I'm sorry the world didn't get to know Pav better; he had a lot to offer it. But I guess we're just not that lucky.
Sorry to hear about your feline friend. I don't know what I'd do without my cats. They make my life so much more tolerable. Guess it will make it easier to go if you decide to get outta Buckeye land.
Life here is good. Been dating a woman in San Francisco and spending a lot more time in the city...
