OK, so Metalfest hath rocked my socks yet again this year. Behemoth, Sonata Arctica, The Red Chord, Cryptopsy, and 3 Inches of Blood were the standout bands, in my opinion. Met a lot of great people, hung out with some bands and stuff and, most importantly, handed out a shitload of copies of the new demo (most notably to Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records... Read More

Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday....I'd give a complete update of my party, but I can't remember any of it, so whatever. That's the price of being so metal you shit tractors.
Well, happy gobble-gobble, everyone. Hope you're all gorging yourselves on turkey and trying not to murder your families. I, on the other hand, am stuck at work. Go me.
OK, I've officially gone off the deep end. After listening to "Visor Om Slutet" roughly 1500 times, I went out to the local Guitar Center, bought a mandolin, some shakers, a jaw harp, and a kazoo (Yes, a kazoo), and am now involved in a side-project making trollish folk music, complete with lyrics translated into Norwegian (badly). Well, I'm from Hamden.....the rest of my guys are from up around Bristol. We're actually playing a show next Friday night up in Wallingford at Cherry Street Station (491 North Cherry Street Extension).
Riiiight. Umm....first entry. I'm sitting here at 1:00 in the am listening to death metal and looking at lovely tattooed and pierced young ladies. That's about it, actually. Now, I just need me a sammich and the night will be complete. Later!
