Don't give up and before you can love someone else you need to love yourself. Work on your sobriety and school. Be social but you do not need the pressure of a relationship on top of everything else.

It's great that you're available to help someone who needs it, especially when you've been in that situation yourself. No one knows how to help better than someone who has been there.
