Mmmmm...Tomorrow is Knoxville Brewer's fest. 30+ brewers all gathered in one place to geme ME free samples of their wares. Cannot wait. There is immense satisfaction in getting totally shit faced before dark. A sense of accomplishment if you will.

The beer cellering is going well. This promises to be an outstanding winter. I have stocked up on several quality barley wines and Russian stouts,...

FUCK ME IN MY DIRTY ASS!!! Is that a sign I've got hanging over the top of my head? It must be, because lately, I sure feel like I've been fucked.

While driving home, my car suddenly would not take any gas. As much as I stepped on the gas, it would not go over 20 mph. The engine did not cut off, but it...

After resuturing and a long (expensive) recouperation at the vet's, Azzy is home and getting his sutures removed today. Thank fucking god this is almost over with.

Dear Alberto Gonzalez,

Your shenanigans during the Iraq war were endearing to say the least. You and the best legal minds of your generation looking for a way to rationalize and redefine torture cetainly earned you a position...

Update: If anyone experiences a problem similar to this, I implore you, get the cyst, WHATEVER, the vet tells you it is, removed while it is still relatively small. After 2 nights at the vet, she allowed me to see and take Azrael home last night.

He is Frankenkitty. The suture on his leg must be 3 inches long. They had to remove so much...

Hi Onibubba,

Hope you are well, and that your kitty is healing up fine. We took Donut to the vet yesterday, and I'm so glad we did because I didn't realize that she can actually be cured by spaying her! I was so happy to hear that. There are risks to surgery, of course, but he referred me to another vet who spays rats all the time. The only question is, is it indeed a tumor in her uterus? Most likely, yes, but they can't really know for sure until she's opened up. I think it's a tumor, just based on how common that is in female rats. So, it's not all that bad! For once, I took a rat to the vet, and heard that there's hope! For once I left the vet office not in tears! Wahoo!
Oh, cute little Azrael, how he must hate those annoying collars. When I was volunteering at the vet clinic I had to wrestle many a feline to get those things on. Cats are strong lllittle fuckers too. I can't tell you how many times I shed blood!
Anyway, keep us updated, and give him a pet for me!

Dropped Azrael off for his surgery this morning. I won't know until this afternood that all is well, so I'll be a ball of nerves until then.

Suki looked shocked when I brought home the empty cat carrier this morning. I'm sure she is freaking out. I wish I could have taken the day off...

Fuck a duck...So I get over an illness and now one of my cats has a problem - a cyst actually. I took him in for this when it first manifested last year and was told to relax, it was nothing.

Everything was normal until this Labor Day weekend, when on Sunday I saw that it had about doubled in size and was now "full."...

Awesomeness.

I've had my eye on a huge old steamer chest at an antique store near work. Today I finally decided to get in there and haggle my way into a deal. I didn't fare so well with my haggling - they knew I wanted it, I've been checking it out for about 2 months now. I did manage to get them down to fifty...

Been out of it due to illness again for the past several weeks. WTF the problem is, I don't know, but it seems like recurrent food poisoning. Yeah, sheer nastiness. It runs its course in a couple of weeks, then I'm right as rain again.

Maybe my body is trying to tell me something...Like lay the fuck off the chow! I need to get back...

Wow. Fianlly saw Gaspar Noe's Irreversible last night (Thank you Netflix, I love you). The last movie I saw that disturbed me this deeply was probably Visitor Q, Requiem for a Dream before that. Like those 2 moives, I have no desire to ever see this film again.

I am not saying it is a bad movie. It's quite good. The camera work is dizzying...

I had the pear dream again...

Ever have one of those dreams so bizzare you need to write it down immediately?

I'm sitting at a table at a club I have never been in before, but it is intimately familiar to me. I am sitting centerstage for an Eddie Izzard show. He's playing 3 nights and this is the first. He is, of course, hilarious,...

That is the oddest, but most fascinating thing I have ever read. And I thought MY dreams were strange. You win. biggrin

Eddie's fucking brilliant, though, so that makes it a bonus.

And yes, this was completely random, just happened to see you in the SG gamers group and thought I'd poke my nosy li'l head in your world.

I posted in another recent topic about this.....
I am not saying this is the "be all, end all" of books, but if you are interested in investigating whether there are scientific theories supporting God/ Intelligent Design, read "The Case for the Creator" by Lee Strobel.....be aware of the 21 pages of references in the back to support the arguments within the book.

It's official and tickets are now on sale. Current 93 will be performing at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall on November 4 and 5.

Now, the amazing question I have to ask myself is, do I want to go? Normally, this would be a no brainer. But this time, C93 is have 3 opening guests perform on both nights! That does not provide for...
