so, about 6 days ago i went for a mtb ride with some of my friends before work. my front tire slide out on the final downhill on the way back to the car and i crashed into a very large rock. i put a good sized hole in my arm near the elbow and it bleed...a lot, and kept bleeding. my arm hurt. needless to say i went to the hospital to get fixed up. about a dozen xrays later the news got worse. i had completely shattered my elbow and needed surgery. so after 2+ days in the hospital, pain killers and counts bags of IV antibiotics later i am released. right arm in a splint/cast for a couple weeks. fresh hardware in my elbow... a plate and 7 screws holding me together. it looks like i won't be able to work for a while, which kinda sucks. did i mention it's my right arm? i'm a righty so doing things with only my left has been a royal pain, or nearly un doable. looks like i'll be like a kid trying to use his arm for the first time for the next few weeks.
hope everyone is well. cheers!
