hey everyone! just thought i'd do a quick post since i haven't updated in a while. well, i guess the big thing that has happened to me is that i broke a rib a couple weeks ago. it happened in a crit race, last turn of the last lap. i had put myself up into about 4th wheel (60 started the race) and was set up perfectly for the sprint when someone on the inside (going through the corner) couldn't hold there line and drifted wide. i was on the outside and got pushed into a curb at 29mph. i remember... curb, and then sliding on my back for about 15 feet. not really sure what happend in between. burned a hole in my brand new skinsuit but ended up with surprising little road rash. bike faired ok as well with only minor damage (thankfully). i ended up breaking my rib in the crash but didn't really realize it until i got back on the bike the following weekend, that is when i REALLY felt it. i have taken it really easy the past two weeks but i definitely feel the need for some good workouts again... i am going crazy
work has been keeping me really busy as well, drove 5k miles this past month. May/June looks like it's not going to be much better either. i am a bit burnt out on work right now but i know that will eventually pass. their are a lot of people out there without jobs so i count myself luck. besides, there are definitely more stressful jobs out there than what i do so it's not all bad.
gotta run, but i hope everyone is doing well. cheers!
