i just returned from a long drive. when things start getting to me or i need to think, i like to head out on a loop that runs up the coast to amelia island, through fernandina beach and then circles back home. it's a good 90-minute round trip. lots of time to clear one's mind.
it isn't so much scenic, being at night and all, but its a great feeling, just me and the road and nothing else. i can stop off somewhere if i want(even though the only things open this time of night would be convenience stores or bars), or just make the loop.
the bad thing is it really makes me wish i had a motorcycle.
i'm off to bed. work in the a.m.

I have/had insomnia, whenever i could sleep I would always get in my car and drive. In mass I would explore the towns I'd never been to, when I live in Orlando I'd do watch the planes land. Sometimes we just need to do this to reset.
