I am a mountain that has been moved.
So those of you familiar with that song know it's sort of a song of defeat, but I want to steal that first line. I'm a stubborn creature of habit, but lately I've exploded in a thousand different directions. This has happened some times before, but usually weighted with a fair amount of anxiety. I feel pretty good right now though. It may just be the fact that the New York City trip is so close, or the fact that a couple of warmer sunny days coincided with this recent revelation. Either way I'm running with it.
Speaking of New York City, I realized yesterday we'd never gone to FAO Schwarz. I will step on that piano
New Deftones song.
Obviously the non-live performance version can be had at this point, and it's fantastic. It's been a long enough wait for new Deftones, I can't wait for the wait to be over.
In Deftones related stuff, way back in High School a mutual friend recommended me this band since I was into Deftones:
They're called Hum, they put out a couple of amazing cds, and then dispersed. Recently I'd heard the singer was in a band called Centaur. I was pretty excited and tracked some of it down.
It felt like a bad band trying to be Hum. I was heartbroken.
I just watched this:
I wish they would have done away with the entire "Pandorum" aspect, and just made it a space/alien/monster movie. It would have been a little easier to enjoy, and in the end, probably a better all around movie.
I've got A Serious Man on the way from Netflix, and I'm pretty stoked about that. Try and get it in before NYC.
The new cat has become a total lap cat, which I am definitely not used to. The cat we already had is super friendly, but prefers hanging out with you, more so than hanging out ON you. She's quite a character, but she's getting sweeter every day.

chrysis:
When these warm days coincide with revelation [or bring one about], I get downright manic. We both know [if peripherally] that the warm days will recede again.. so why -not- "run with it" in the meantime? Gogogo.
