Right now I am reading this:

It's quite an interesting read. More of a history on faith based systems than a "faith is essential" argument. I spilled Dr. Pepper on it though, so I randomly have to fight with pages to pry them from their neighbors. I read a lot of religious based things, as it's a favorite topic for debate for me. My favorite of which being can and will technology outpace the need for God.
I am also slogging my way through this:

Not to say it's a bad read, it's incredibly well written, and it's covering a lot of a battle I'm not terribly familiar with. I've just got a lot going on and it's hard to find as much reading free time as I used to have.
Lastly in the book category (and probably the nerdiest of all), this showed up:

It's a hell of a book, I've gotten part way through the first tutorial and made this

It's not much yet, but the computer for school should show up Monday, hopefully with Maya and Zbrush and I can really get going on some stuff.
/end book gush
Speaking of school, I'm all ready to go. Got access to the school's online site (which is pretty sweet), my computer and software should be here Monday, and I just have to take my orientation class before March 1st and I'm good. Pretty excited I must say.

This is what I have lined up to watch this weekend:
Hopefully I get through a couple of them, I've been trying to watch Pandorum for a week at least. In other movie related news, I've finally decided on how to decorate the office. The debate between WWII propaganda posters, and movie posters has been decided. Movie posters it is. I think I'm going to go with these:
All but the first one are subject to change of course.
So I promised eventual cuteness in this blog, and I try to be a man of my word, so.....
We had our puppy spayed yesterday, which I'll admit was a bit of a nerve racking experience for me, anytime our animals care is out of my hands I fret. So we took her to the vet first thing in the morning and she promptly made it her job to meet and greet everyone in the office. She ways 18.4 lbs now, they grow so fast. So we got to go pick her up around 1 in the afternoon, and of course she was still a little groggy and out of it. We brought her home and she went in her crate and layed down and slept. The cat, who had already gone through the spaying process was quite concerned about her puppy buddy and camped out on the back of the couch and kept an eye on her in her crate all day.
Sorry the picture is a little hard to make sense of, it's from the wife's phone which has been slightly gnawed on by puppy.
Normally you would think they were sworn enemies, but I think the cat just doesn't want to lose it's street cred and have people think it likes a dog. She was too cute though.
