The newest addition to our family, Penny:
She's pretty cool. She can be a bit of a brat when her energy meter hits full, but overall she's been really good. I forgot how nice it was having a dog since I haven't had one in so long.
Modern Warfare 2 comes out next week, which means my life will officially be over until probably xmas time. Going to blow through the campaign on easy this time and then take my time with it on Veteran while I play the multiplayer. Jumping right into veteran for COD4 was fun, but by the time I'd beaten all of it was spoiled several times over.
I'm also looking at getting a new computer monitor, but it probably won't be until around my birthday. Have to buy our first christmas tree this year, damned things are kind of expensive, but she's already excited about it, so what can you do.
So I will leave you with this image of our recently distraught cat:

Ummmm, and yeah, look into that album art thing -- I'm curious. It sounds familiar, but I don't have any Soilent Green. Unless it was on the outside, then I probably came across it, flipping through over the years ..
But yes. This two-month-long transition is horrible. The nothingness. But God, it only gets worse .. I'll take the thoughts slamming into one another, no matter how .. futile it feels, because in a month or two, when it's all sand, dirt, grit; all greys and browns; all smoke and mud and slush, .. and dark goes into overcast goes into dark? -- It all goes away for me. Mentally.
Wake me in six months.
Gaahhhh, I need a pup. x_x; One that's litter-trained in the winters.
