"Just keep on waking up"..
The homeless man outside of Walbaums gave his advice after I dropped the coin content of my pant pockets into his palm.
"How is Long Beach, for the well... homeless?" I questioned stumbling through each word. After a moment of shaking his "I don't work, I was born to fish" hat covered head, he gave me a look of defeat, then repeated the mantra, this time for comfort, this time to convince himself.
"Just keep waking up".
