So, I lied when I said no more comic related spam. What can I say, I'm a terrible person.
This is actual news though. See, I never wanted these books to be only my work, rather, a collaboration between friends, and people from around the area (with some exceptions). Like our own mini version of DC/Marvel, and I also want these things to be aimed at adults. Comic books directly intended to be read by mature audiences (so, I guess more like Image and Vertigo, but whatever).
Which is why I'm happy to announce that @johnny_truant8 and @dmaggot have joined on as writers for our horror series "Nightmare Tales". One of johnny_truant8's friends has also joined on as another horror writer, so we should have some great stuff coming out in the future.
I'm working on my own horror outline right now, and as soon as we have some definitive summaries/scripts in hand, I'm going to contact some of the art schools and programs around here to see if art students are interested in getting some real work before they graduate (this was the idea of one of my coworkers, and one of the few people who didn't think I was out of my mind when I decided to take a break from film and focus on this instead).
