The more television I watch, the more I'm starting to agree with the whole "Golden Age of Television" thing. This has got me thinking that the stories I want to tell, originally through film, may be better suited for something like a miniseries.
Sure, it's just as hard to get into TV as film, but the choices for film genres seem to be dwindling, while TV studios seem to be taking greater risks on their programming.
Time to test the waters, and time to start on my most ambitious writing project, which I have been delaying for about 3 years now.

This is such an interesting topic. I really believe that Netflix is changing the game by having original content in episodic format but released all at once (Arrested Development, Orange is the New Black, House of Cards) - so people can consume it in the way they enjoy, i.e. either binge watching or bit by bit.
