*This is not a whiny, mopey blog*
Last year, I had a film fall apart, nearly got sued by 2 people, and had to settle with an actor to avoid a lawsuit (cost me $2,000 that I didn't really have). This film had a chance to get me exposure, but ended up with me being hated by the cast, the crew, and dropping off the radar of filmmaking.
Since then, I've played it safe and waited for some magical producer to discover me. I'm done waiting. I'm done hiding, and I'm done with this whole playing it safe bullshit.
Tomorrow, I'm shooting 2 new scenes for a now mid-length film (including a scene with one of the most complicated camera moves we've ever tried). I'm also be cutting a trailer (which I'll post on here for everyone to see because you guys are awesome and really supportive).
With all of this, I'm going to call every local theater, opera house, and other place that can has the ability to show films. I will not stop until I get a premiere, and even then, I'll keep pushing to get more places to show my film. I'm damn proud of this film, and the reviews (from people who normally kick me when I'm down) have only built my confidence even more.
In honor of this new direction, this is my official soundtrack for the day.
So keep an eye out. Who knows, maybe I'll be coming to your town/city/whatever.
