Well, My crisis of career thing has subsided.
The way I see it, I'm probably not stopping anytime after I'm done with my Undergrad, so at this point I should just try to do something I'm interested in, not necessarily career oriented. So with that in mind, I don't want to pick a major that has a narrowing affect, like people who are business majors are fairly limited in getting careers in business. The same goes for art, education, nursing ect. The ones that are more like trade school majors than academic majors. So with that in mind...
Anthropology.
I mean, why not. I've enjoyed every class that I've taken in it. It's got my favorite professor, and it's a major you can do just about anything in, like marketing to foreign corporations ect. Like my professor said "It's not so much what major you do, just as long as you have a major."
I'm also going to look into the studying abroad program. I hate my current living arangments, and I think i really need to see what the world is like outside of new england. Seriously. I've never been on a plane folks because i've had no place to go..and quite frankly, i've been brought up lazy.
I figure a semester or two in england or ireland would be awesome, and if even if i don't do that there are definitely some places i'd like to visit. Like portland. and not because of SG.
But honestly, hopefully this is as bad as my college career gets. Living with my parents and thus having practically no social life from it is definitely a damper on me a whole.
P.S. Need to learn how to socialize.
P.P.S. Need to learn how to....not be asexual.
P.P.P.S What's the deal with the grateful dead? I mean I've been listening to american beauty for about half a week now and I still don't get it. I mean I have absolutely no perspective on what their music is "categorized" and from that I'm a little lost as to what to think about them. People say what great musicians they were but the music sounds...toned down and the song lyrics are okay, but nothing that i want to scream amazement from. Is it the kinda music that you have to be stoned to listen too? Either way..i don't get it.
