Unknown Orders

we humans are indeed
a strange half breed
we enjoy the suffering
we enjoy this life

suffer the children
dying under "friendly" fire
all our own freedom fighters
ever got was a life
of solitude buried
in the suburban
melting pot

a soilder following
blind orders
tell me does it even
matter if it's
wrong or right?

Unknown orders
so many boarders to patrol
so many people to ship back
to die in disease and pestialence

remeber,
please remeber
those who died
in what they believed in

born into these situations
we are an amazing species
we kill each other
under God's will
we kill each other
and all future generations
suffer

what is left unsaid
with unwaivering pride
we tried one last stand
in the name of Love
but the scripture we
ate was only a verse
a passage at best

is this what rebellion got us
shave off all your hair
take off your army green
and repeat after me....

but we would rather
enjoy a second helping
of cold blooded suffering
then let go of our ways
and admit for once
we were all wrong

as we cried in one achord
as we stomped our feet
and shouted NO, NO, NO

stuck between guilt
and despair
stuck between wrong
and wrong

if only we could stop time
because the clock has
ticked it's last tock
and now the fear is real
for it may be too late
to change
