This isn't a real SG homework, but I hope you like it.
Today is one year since I'm a voluntary in a shelter. Exaclty one year ago I started this adventure which is one of the best experience of my life.
Every weekend I go to a dog shelter near the city where I live for taking care, walking with and loving some poor dogs without a family that are waiting to find someone who will take care of them.
It's hard explain the fear and pain in their eyes. There are every kind of dogs, big, small and with many different colors but every dog is full of love and show affection to me and the other volunteers. Often happens that some dogs are being adopted but some others, especially the older ones, or large breed, remain most of the time behind bars putting their tired paws on the cold pavement.
Everytime a dog is adopted by someone it's huge satisfaction for us.
I've written this post because rescuing dogs is very important. Buying animals it's not good. Pets are our friends, not things, for every dog or cat buyed others one die in their gray box in the shelters. Every dog is beautiful regardless of the race.
