I went to the Bionic show at sala rosa last night... good show, but the opening bands were not really compatible: pretentious artistic experimantal stuff doesn't get one in the mood for rocking out. But all in all it was a fun time. Once home again, we noticed our water had been shut off. Fair enough -4am isn't exactly high traffic water using time. But it's still off (it's noon). All this wouldn't be a big deal except (as all you local folk may have noticed) Montreal has a little problem with water mains bursting and leaving the nearby residents without water for up to 5 days. Luckily, we spent 3 hours doing all our dishes up the other day. What else is new... I am allergic to any elastoplast type knock off adhesive (elastoplast itself is fine). I found this out on day two of surgery recovery. Oh my god I've never been so itchy in all my life. You know whats funny; since moving here, I've become allergic to some brands of random things I've never been allergic to before in my life. Like adhesives. Also raspberries and peanuts. But only certain brands... makes me wonder if there is a magic chemical used only here. But maybe it's also because if I find something I like I tend to over do it a bit: eating only raspberries for weeks straight might make anybody break out in little red itchy bumps -who knows. I've decide to make myself a cage table for my dungeon. We're dismantling the big ugly extra computer desk for parts today. Should be a blast. I saw some pretty excellent movies this week: "The cotton club" -30's era gangster/dancer/singer movie ->but it's not a musical! Very awesome costume designer. "Once upon a time in the west" -shoot em up western with an oddly complicated plot line. "Switch killer" -lesbian stripper slasher flick. Terrible acting, ugly characters but very funny in a laughing at you kinda way. In differnent news, I'm really liking this above zero weather. As much as I like snow, I'm not so fond of below 30 (celcius) with constant wind. You'd think I'd be used to it what with being born in the tundras of southern ontario and all. Alas, I guess I'm just a wuss. My babe is making the worlds best pancakes for breakfast. Although that's the only thing he can (will) make, they are so fucking good that it's forgivable. TIme to stuff my belly full of yummies!

My membership runs out around the 20th of this month, and I don't have a credit card, nor do they accept money orders (from canada at least). Sigh... what's a girl to do?
