Bored at work.
I'm on OT and I'm the driver/EMT for the intern. It's nice
I get to get time and a half, w/o the paperwork and responsibility. It's good to be brain dead at work from time to time.
So I'm eagerly awaiting a new laptop. I ordered a Alienware M14X, should be here by the 20th. I need a new laptop BAD. this one is slower than the ones here at work...and they REALLY suck. Plus we are using it as a tax right off for Rikki
My new crown is killing me...got to get into the office to have them fix it....hot/cold feels like lightning
I wish I could go out right now...I'm feeling trapped here right now. I think I just really want to be home at this point. oh well, less than 12 hours left.
I'm glad I've been getting this OT lately. I can take care of alot of stuff much faster than I had planned. Although I've been having the urge to spend some more money. So far so good...I guess I like shopping as much as Rikki does.
Speaking of, It was nice to be able to buy Rikki lots of birthday stuff. I'm at the point now that I can afford to do nice things and buy nice things for her. I haven't had that ability before this point. She says I don't have to do that stuff, but it really does make me happy. Yah dream about being able to give the gifts you like to people. Makes me feel good.
Lots of changes here at work are just around the corner. My Battalion Chief is going to be THE Chief in January. People will promote up at some point, and I hope to get a Fire/Medic job. Same job, less paperwork, better pay, and a chance to move up and take more classes. I'm looking forward to it. Sooooo
I need to go to Sac next Thursday or Friday. (Got to call the State Fire Marshall to get their hours). Anyone want to meet up for food and drinks?
