so the story behind the photos from last blog was...
The Silver Beetle was being driven by a mother with 3 teenagers as passengers. Mom wanted to show the kids a series of small hills and wanted to see if they could get air. They got plenty. Hit a fire Hydrant, propane tank, left a skid mark about the garage door and came to rest on the 2 parked cars in the driveway. She was hooked up on 3 counts of child endangerment. Everyone was a little shaken up, but uninjured.
Work has be very busy. Snow makes that area an adventure to go anywhere and getting that much that fast crippled the area. I was sick so I didn't have to deal with that mess. they ran 97 calls in 48 hours...that was 3x the previous record.
Had my 6 year evaluation at work..(don't know what 6 years has to do with it) it was very good. that makes me happy. Also ran a Code blue and got pulses back and they shipped her out to Santa Rosa. I hope she makes it. it would be the first field save I've ever been on, even as an EMT I was never even near one. Call went very well. Got all the important stuff done on the first try.
Had a kid hang himself weeks ago. 19 years old and he was found hanging from a rope in his front yard at 7am. I still think of that. I hope it wasn't a kid walking to the bus stop that first seen it and ran home to tell his parents. It doesn't bother me really, but it is a spooky mental image and pretty depressing to think about,
I think I'll have a better blog in a few days. I'm going to relax and reload abit. More smiles and laughs next time.
