Gotta get myself connected.
Okay this is pissing me off, I keep connecting to SG chat and I just keep getting timed out or stuff, cnd it must be this ned because there are people in the chat itself.... I just wanted to show my face (not literally) because I've been absenst for so long.
A week ago I attended my first real gig, I saw Elbow back in 2007 via series of unfortunate misunderstandings but that wasn't intended. Last week I saw Shonen Knife, one of my favourite bands of all time and well... they rocked!

They played a selection of songs from their albums covering the 30 years Shonen Knife have been active (though only the original frontwoman, Naoko remains) one cover of a Ramones song; Rockaway beach, which is my favourite cover of the Ramones they've done. And three tracks of their most recent album... which I promptly purchased after the show along with a tour shirt, they happily signed both which made me all kinds of warm and gooey inside... I used to think drinking lots got me into a sense of happiness that kept me awake all night, but it's just happiness in general, I hardly slept when I got home that night and was still riding high 48 hours later at work..
Seriously if ever I was going to die, there is a small part of me that is comforted that I got to see these three in action.
I also saw a band called Smallgang supporting, they were okay. And another called Johnny Foreigner, they were a different kind of awesome, I' had to buy their album straight away that night too.
