I hit 500 miles in my 1,000 mile year this wednesday.
I also hit 50,000 words in a pretty bad novel for nanowrimo.
I also sprained my vagina - this time on the left side.. It's not nearly as badly as my right side chotch-sprain earlier this fall.
The only guess I have as to what's happening, is that my natural turn-out is causing me to use my inner muscles more than my outer muscles when I run, especially if I stop concentrating on keeping my legs turned in. Because I noticed I was okay to run if I very forcibly turned my knees in so my legs were crossing as I ran. It's definitely not a common runner's injury, and I know my turnout is kind of a unique thing about my body, so it makes some sense.
I've decided to take this as a good thing....my body is evaluating which muscle fibers are useful and weeding out the ones that aren't as great. I'll come out of it stronger...right?

So now that I've hit 500, I'm taking a wee break from the running so I don't agitate the moneymaker.
One thing I've noticed about myself is I'm a stubborn little fuck when it comes to my goals. I'm about 2 months ahead on my running...and yet choosing not to run every day is....I dunno... completely counterintuitive...?
