I've always felt like at least a mini-rebel for having short hair and dressing generally dykey, but nobody's ever actually confronted me so directly about it. She totally used the "mom" voice too, as if the next line would be "now you march on upstairs and no dinner!".
Lols, I had one of my bro friends nearby when it happened, he looked just as surprised as I did.
