I had the best time with my daughter this past week. Now she's flying back to her mom's in the pitiful midwest.
I miss her, SO MUCH. We had such a great time together and we did so many things and yet there was so much more we could have done. I can't wait for her to visit me again.
Just a short list of the things we did that she'd never done before:
The Underground Tour of Seattle
Easter brunch at Ivar's Salmon House
toured Pike Place Market and the University of Washington campus
shopped at thrift stores and got her a real rain jacket from Valu Village
rode the bus EVERYWHERE
went whale watching, hiking up by Mt. Rainier and on the John Wayne Railroad trail, to Snoqualmie Falls, the EMP, the Henry Art Museum, the Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival at the Seattle Center (she's infatuated with Japanese culture!), STOMP! at the Paramount, to two Mariners games and got Ichiro bobbleheads and loads of souveniers
had Bento, Caribbean and Morrocan food (Casuelita's is my new favorite restaurant here in Seattle. I think Caribbean food is dope!)
It was awesome. Now she's gone and I'm gonna resort back to working and my usual routine. sigh.
She's the best and I'm just one fortunate mofo to have her for a daughter.
peace y'all

So what was the tour like? I'm just curious since it looked interesting on TV. Then again they make everything interesting on TV.

hey, Colette79 wants you to know that her band (Paper Moon) is playing in Seattle at Sunset Tavern on Ballard. She also apologizes for the short notice and understands if you can't be there....
