Well I just realized that I hadnt been on in here in quite some time. Mid April I would say. Just goes to show how busy life always keeps one. And that is exactly what I have been. Busy as fuck. Shop is going great even though my good friend and co-worker hit me with the news a few weeks back that his wife wants to move back to Arizona to be closer to family. Other reasons were quoted and I could comment on my opinions about those reasons but I will just keep that to myself. It is sad to see him go. He is a big part of the shop and the other half of helping make it as successful as it now is. So there is a huge hole to fill. Our apprentice Sascha has been killing it in progress and should be ready by the time Paul leaves to at least take over part of the void. But now the search for another artist continues and it just downright sucks. I have my ideas of what I am looking for but at the same time dont wanna just hire some guy off the street that I dont even know. You spend A LOT of time together in a shop and somehow bringing in someone you dont even know can go one of two ways. Well, or you end up firing them and have to go looking for someone else all over. There are some good prospects of people I know who might be interested. If they would all pan out.....well......then we would need to move into a bigger shop but would have one solid crew of tattooers then. We will see what happens in the next few months a guess. Got some guest artists coming in and just trying to enjoy the next few months with my buddy before he does leave. idiot.
I am sure you all enjoy reading my rants about my shop haha. not. It cannot be that interesting, but on the personal front there isnt much happening. Its hot and Germany doesnt believe in central air. I did finally get my Jetta back on the road and at a point where I am satisfied with it, but it also lacks A/C and so now its time to get the Impala fixed so I can drive that during the day, and at night when it cools down, roll around in the Jetta.
