so I'm gonna try to add more blogs here... mostly about movies i guess - just finished re-viewing Kurosawa's Dreams; didn't like it much more this time than the last time I saw it many years ago; like Madadayo so much better. Maybe you have to be Japanese to get it but the anti-war, anti-nuclear message is too heavy handed and the special effects too garish for my taste (in this context). In other news, I'm on week 7 of 9 in giving lectures on Egyptian Occultism - next topic, psychic power of snakes; I've nearly finished an essay on the degrees of the horoscope and the soul's journey, and have decided to pick up Plotinus again before I finish the Tibetan text on Mind Training which is good in some parts but a bit Calvanistic to take in large doses.
