Hello everyone! I haven't written anything here for a long time. Why not renew the tradition.
What am I doing for "Empower women"? Nothing.
This is my honest answer.
Unfortunately, in my country, this kind of activism can end up in prison. An "excellent" example (sarcasm) is the story of the artist Yulia Tsvetkova, who is being judged under Article 242 (Distribution of pornography - in Russia u can go to prison for this up to 6 years).
What is the essence of the story?
Yulia published her drawings on VK (social network). It was her project "A woman is not a doll" or another project where she schematically drew vulvas and published them in VK. In Russia, for a schematic picture of a naked woman and the inscription "Living women have hair" u can go to jail.
All my activism ends with helping a center dealing with domestic violence (which is not in Russia - that's what our laws tell us from TV). I do some very small things: I throw off money for a shelter apartment, I help women who fled from tyrant husbands to write resumes, sometimes I throw work on my projects or do a photo session for them as part of art therapy, together with a psychologist.
I understand that this will not change anything, but this is all that I can.
If u can do more, please do it. For all those who do not have such an opportunity.
