Better late than never!
My friend @jacleric nominated me for this. Let's get started!
1. What was your first animal?
I don't know who exactly is considered the "first pet".
When I was little (I hardly remember it) there lived a big cat with us named Boatswain. A later they were birds: Japanese finches. These are small birds that look like sparrows. I looked after them, so maybe they are, if it counts.
2. Which animals did you have in your life!?
In my conscious life (the one I remember) I had dogs, a cat, fish, budgerigars and lizards.
Once there was a bat that woke up in the middle of winter and flew into the room. I had to follow her. In the spring she flew away.
3. What kind of animals do you have now?
My dog is a dachshund. Ariseli Diamond Demi Fey. I often write about her here. Her photo from a walk today:
4. Your spirit animal?
They say it is a Chinese water dragon. True, I was told this in one Chinese temple on my last trip there.
But I think it's an arctic fox.
5. If you could choose to be a animal for one day, what would it be?
A seal. Definitely a seal!
For example, here is such a Baltic seal. Aren't they cute?
Unfortunately, they are now on the verge of extinction due to human activities. In my city there is an organization called The Baltic Seal Friends Fund. They help animals in trouble and work to restore the population. Using the link, you can help and transfer a little money to help them.
6. Do you have animal tattoos?
Sure!
I have a fox on my right shoulder blade.
Thank u @orangette for this photo!
7. What is your fav animal print?
I don't want animals to be used as prints. In my opinion, this is some kind of creepy practice.
8. If you would have all the time, space and money in the world which animal would you love to have?
I'm not sure if that's the right answer, but if I had the money, the time, and the space, I would devote it to saving marine mammals.
9. Do you have a last message?
Sure!
Before you start a house pet: evaluate your strength. Do you have time to walk the dog? Are you ready to educate your pet. Do you understand what it is for the next 5-15 years? If you want to play with the dog, then it is better to take the animal for overexposure or take part as a volunteer at an animal shelter (in many shelters you can play with the animals, help clean them up and see if you are ready for this).
Never buy animals that are endangered or protected by law.
And never buy animals from unscrupulous breeders, black retailers, and so on. By doing this, you can contribute (even unknowingly) to the illegal import of animals and the spread of disease.
