Hi
i have recently been building my new studio.
My sound card died so recording projects have been put aside and construction on the room commenced. Now i am just waiting for my new interface to turn up and i am back in business, so to speak.
The one with the guitars hanging on it is bass trap/Helmholtz resonator i have made to suck up all that unwanted bass frequencies. I made a lot of this studio with reclaimed timber (fence pales) and stuff from the side of the road like old foam mattress badly eaten by a dog but who will see it inside a bass trap?
The cubes at seemingly random well depths is a skyline diffuser to spray sound like a shot gun blast rather than bouncing flat and causing standing waves.
All the other stuff are glorified pillows to suck up frequencies and stop sound bouncing straight back at the listener influencing the mix.
will keep the posts coming in the future.
Till then.
