Time to get back on that horse called Literature! Full disclosure, my head has not been in it at all this part month; life has been lifing in its immensely distracting way. And I am suddenly finding myself 4 books behind my own reading goal for this year (which is essentially an unnecessary, artificial pressure I have put on myself, but hey) So for now, I am abandoning the Talisman series by King and Straub, and I will get back to them a little bit later. Instead, I shall embark on this: A Certain Hunger, by Chelsea G. Summers!
It seems like a grizzly, satirical story about quite a lethal food critic, featuring both culinary and intimate spice as well as murder and mayhem, almost like a social commentary on foodie culture and gender norms. Sounds like a delightfully morbid read!
