Totally forgot to post this here yesterday, although I posted about it on FB and IG.
Behold my next read! We have another debut novel on our hands, by Sunyi Dean. First published in 2022, so I'm a little behind, but hey, books are portable time capsules anyway.
I'm intrigued by the premise: There is a secret line of people who feed on books (so the title of this novel seems very literal), with various genres having unique flavors. However, apparently one of them starts to hunger for much more.
Premises like this give me more hope for my own aspiration to write, because I sometimes get stuck in my own head, wondering if my ideas are just silly, but I have to remind myself that as long as one's imagination is expressed well enough, lots of premises can be fascinating.
