So Tuesday night Tara and I got tickets to see the first local showing of SUPERMAN RETURNS. No big surprise that I fucking loved it, what was a kick was how much T dug it. She's got the biggest crush on Brandon Routh now.
I think he does a great Superman as well as Clark Kent, in fact he was definitely the highlight for me.
Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor? He's Kevin Spacey. What do YOU think??
As he himself says, "BRING IT ON!!!"
I really recommend it as a date movie, believe it or not.
I thought what was cool is that it seemed to be a film that could appeal to a lot of folks of all different ages.
The effects are outstanding, and there are some un-FUCKING-believable action sequences.
If yer not doing anything this weekend, check it out, yo.
Speaking of the Man of Steel, got some new bling on Wednesday
Got a weekend getaway starting Friday in Michigan, back on Tuesday.
We, up until yesterday, were really psyched about it because we are staying at Tara's mom's house while they are on a cruise. Their house is totally kickass with a pool and beautiful backyard. We'll still get to enjoy it to some extent, but now there's gonna be some work involved, all involving her dad, to no one's surprise.
Thankfully he's back in Michigan after months in Florida, his health deteriorating all the while. But while his wife heads back to Orlando for the weekend to get things moved out of there for good, everyone has to step up and put time in with Pop who needs 24-7 attention.
Not like we weren't going to spend time with him, but now it's putting in hours that are a hair away from being something professionals should be handling.
Selfish buzzkill aside, this is what I signed up for when I made a heartfelt commitment to the love of my life. For better and for worse...
Have a ball-slappin,' titty bouncin' good weekend, lovers!!!
