Back in June, I mentioned Feline-themed tattoos in the works around my left forearm.

One down, two more to go...

By Chicago's own Jennifer Trok.

My daughter Hazel turned 4 a couple weeks ago. In other news, it only took 4 years for her to warm up to Santa Claus. :-)

While my first my tattoo was WAAAAAYYY... BACK in 1993, I've been more of a tattoo enthusiast since 2003. Getting a couple quality pieces each year has usually been my modus operandi.

But this summer, since Memorial Day, I got work that was all but unplanned around Easter, and now I got coverage from shoulder to shoulder that I've been wanting to get for ages....

Hope this update finds you well. All good here. I like sunglasses 3 out of 4 days.

To my comic book-loving friends out there, I moderate two SG groups here: "Batman" covers all things Dark Knight, and "Superman" includes more DC characters alongside the Man of Steel.

October 26th, on CBS, Supergirl debuts. I'm excited, especially if it's a show I can watch with my

I've been to the riverwalk, but not to the new part.  Also, the new park on Northerly Island opens Friday, and it sounds like it's gonna be really nice.  Plus I still have to check out the 606!

Yeah, @silversurfer, the 606 is pretty much at the top of my list right now with the family. It'll have to wait until after Labor Day when we return from Michigan! :)

@silversurfer, I am a wide open book here, so thanks for your earlier inquiry. Just celebrated 7 months sober last week. Simply put, it became work, and it was controlling me and not the other way around. Yay for my family & me! ;-)
silversurfer:
Thanks for the candid response.  It sounds like you've made a change for the better.  So, yes, good for you, and your family too.  P.S. I saw Ant-Man and I liked it a lot.  I thought it had exactly the right amount of goofiness.  It was too long, but I'd say that about almost any recent comic book movie.  And the mainline plot wasn't all that exciting, in my view.  But I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.  It had a good combination of action and humor.

Anyone see "ANT-MAN"? It's a fun film. *Marvelous*, if you will. ;-)

...and it was an awesome time for the whole family. A Colorado Springs resident 1981-1994, my brother still lives there.

#HazelMera had THE BEST TIME with her "big cousins"...

Too much love is about the biggest problem this kid has...

On a totally unrelated note, I am REALLY EXCITED for March 2016 and "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." Haters to the right...

Very nice!  What's that expression again?  As springs Colorado, so springs Colorado Springs?  ;-)
