This post has been edited for Elizadolittle, a dear friend and an amazing woman, and also in dedication to her siblings, Nikki and Luke, and the preservation of their memory.
Eliza has been faced with incredible realities of mysterious frequency and paralyzing intensity, most regrettably in terms of loss, and even more unfortunately, not restricted to it. As you or someone you know have or will come to terms with, she also bears the weight of the resulting personal and existential questions one is left to deal with after death.
Those fortunate enough to know Kelly in any measure will agree that it takes a woman of her caliber to endure even a fraction of this grief physically, emotionally, and maternally. She inherently harbors an incredible amount of strength and love, along with the ability and inclination to use these resources to continue to make sense of the world for her children, family, friends, and ultimately herself through the process from one day to the next. The memories of Nikki and Luke couldn't be safer under any other's trust.
Eliza, your response to the image that I posted made it clear that an explanation was necessary, because the utopian epitaph is designed to spark a longing for the same sense of peace and appreciation within you, but I can't stand by and watch you wish those words for yourself and your loved ones. I know we're usually more interested in ripping things from their context for a laugh, but this picture can be found embedded within the pages of Kurt Vonnegut's novel Slaughterhouse Five, and will be misconstrued any time it is encountered without this context.
