So last weekend I went on a sonic cruise. It was a bunch of VW heads from NY, NJ and CT that have never had sonic but have seen all the commercials on tv for it and wanted to try it. I still dont understand why they play commercials in the tristate when there isnt a sonic in the tristate. Anyways we got up early and took a 200 mile drive to delaware to hit up sonic and it was well worth it. The food is awsome and they put chilli and cheese on almost anything. They gave us 10% off, random goodies and free ice cream cause we came from so far away to try sonic. That was the fun part, the bad part starts after we leave sonics.
On the way back home we get stuck in crazy traffic cause they have a nascar track in delaware. Turns out that because of the rain they cancled the nascar event and everyone had left the track at the same time. We were stuck on a 2 block stretch for 3 hours and the rest of the drive home took another 5 hours in pouring rain. The ass kicker is that when I'm just a few blocks from my destination I drive into a huge flood and my car dies. I didnt see the water cause it was 12am we were tired and it looked like road cause the water was so calm. Water starts pouring in through my doors so we had to get out and push. The water was well over my wheels and almost touching my door handles. It took about an hour for the tow truck to pick us and I didnt get to my house till 8:00.
Right now the car still smells wet
