Warning: Boo-hoo worthy material
In two weeks I start another life in California! All the excitement has snowballed into a big ball of nerves. I really want to rock at school, and come out a success - but I'm a touch scared that I'm already behind in the race. I grew up a broke Mid-West boy, and I have a feeling I'm going to be going to school with silver spoon bastards. I know I have the talent, otherwise I wouldn't have been accepted - but I've seen $$ trump talent so many times
On another note:
I've had this obsession with Paul Thomas Anderson's 'There Will Be Blood' for awhile now. It is one of the most powerful films I've seen. I'm drawn to all the elements of this film - Daniel Day-Lewis is amazing, and the cinematography is fucking wild.
Anyway, my obsession has only grown since I've picked up the book that inspired it: Upton Sinclair's 'Oil!' Of course it is much different than the film, but its equally amazing. I love Upton Sinclair!
The set I shot with the wonderful Eevie is set to go into MR in early September! Keep a look out for it and make her go pink! She definitely deserves it.
I had a ball shooting it with her. And when she told me she was shooting a set with AlissaBrunelli the next week I felt like such an amateur! I adore her work, and can't imagine my work being nearly as good as hers.
I'm really glad you could come out you really helped us out.
Thursday we'll be playing a better team (it's in the 2nd highest league out of the 4, the low league was tonight), and I think we'll have less people so we'll all get more playing time.
I had no idea our goalkeeper was going to bring five people, we figured he wasn't going to show up so it was a bit crowded, although it worked out perfectly, since a lot of people don't play all the time so we could all switch out to stay fresh.
Thursday is at 630. That one will definitely be on as we had a head count tonight and we'll have enough to play for sure.
