This past week has been one hell of Odyssey, so get ready for an EPPPPIC!
For the past few months I've been living in Boston, which has not been so awesome. I only know a handful of people out here, one of them is my ex, and the others are mere acquaintances. Needless to say, when I went home last week it was a breath of fresh air to see my family, and familiar places. It is so refreshing to see faces that care about you, even though I know sometimes I take them for granted. I really notice it when I see them and they show me how much they care for me by going to the ends of the world to help me out. On a moments notice they helped me scrap out a plan to bring a car back to Boston so I can work a second job. I really do appreciate them I swear.
I also got to meet some new faces this weekend. On the way back east I stopped in Toronto for a few days and got to spend some time in the city. Somehow, as much as I like to travel, its the first time I've EVER spent the night in another country. Toronto is an awesome city, and the people are great. I got to hang out with Niello and she is nothing short of incredible.
I loved picking out all the small differences between Canada and the US. I think what I enjoyed the most was how people don't really seem to be pressured to make themselves fit in. Canadians just seemed to not give a fuck what other people think of them, and they seemed to all be unique without having to try.
I did so many fun things, it was hard to leave. When its so easy to get used to something I like, its so hard to leave it just as quickly.
So now I'm back in Boston and I have to do some major fixing. Does anyone have any super glue?
I started my internship today and it seems pretty easy. All I'm doing is cleaning up and keeping stock of the snacks. I also get to learn some editing and special effects software, which I'm pumped about. Its like getting paid to take lessons. Learning editing software is always a huge asset because it'll help me be a better photographer/cinematographer.
If it wasn't for this internship I would have turned around and headed right back to Michigan because today was complete crap. I need to find a new apartment because my roommate/ex and I just aren't getting along. I'm struggling but I'm coming around to see it as a positive thing. I'm going to get a room somewhere and turn a little corner of Boston into my own little nest. From there I can manage for a few months until I get back to Michigan.

Yeah, I don't think those gang kids are around our part of town. They all live in blue line places like Revere and Chelsea.
P.S. The winter sucks here and it makes us all assy and depressed, but everything changes in spring and summer. It's a totally different city. Just hang on for a few more weeks, and I think you might actually learn to love it here.
