I just had to share my excitement with everyone...
My Dad just got his Scarlet & Gray club season football tickets in the mail!! This is the first season he's gotten them and I am super excited. I was born and raised a Buckeye fan...went to college at OSU...now I work for them. And if you've never been, there is absolutely nothing on the planet like the Horseshoe on game day.
Sadly, I have a brother to share the games with.*(see disclaimer) Dad asked me how I suggested we split them up. (There are 7 games, so there's no way to be "fair"). I said "How about a death-match...winner takes all...all games and all the inheritance. Muahahaha".**(see disclaimer) Dad goes "Do you forget your brother has a black belt?" I go "Do you forget I am a better shot than half the guys in your police department? Just set us loose in the woods with our weapons of choice and whoever comes out is clearly the winner." Dad goes "Honey...he'd sneak up on your ass and you'd have a ninja star in your forehead before you could blink. You are not graceful or sneaky." (Which is true...I am clumsy and loud). So I went "*sigh* Fine then...what's your idea?" He proposed a very fair arrangement. He takes Brother to 2 games, I go with him to 2 games, he gets a game with a person of his choice, I get a game with a person of my choosing, and Chris gets a game to take someone as well. I have to supply Dad with hotdogs and soda for the games he takes me to. (Which is only fair, since he scrimped and saved and then paid out the ass for "right" to even purchase these tickets). So, I agreed with that. Probably a much less gory solution than a sibling death-match. And hopefully next year, I will be able to get my 2 employee tickets and I won't have to battle with anyone and I will be able to take a different friend to each game. I just didn't get hired before the cut-off this year.
* - I actually love my brother - this has just been a bone of contention between us since we were little kids and dad only got 2 alumni tickets a year...luckily my mom hates football, so she was never in the battle for the going.
** - I am really not violent or evil, nor do I "Muahahaha" in real life...but my dad gets my sarcastic, smart-ass-tastic sense of humor, so he didn't even blink at that.
PS - I have NOTHING to do this weekend. Ideas, anyone? (Other than the fair...Jon has already said "no way"...which makes me sad because I NEED a Bloomin' Onion...
