I am having a mad caffeine crash and am trying to stay awake. I know it's Sunday and I should just take a nap if I want...but I'm always worried about not being able to sleep on work-nights. I woke up early this morning, drank almost an entire pot of coffee, and then decided that I HAD to clean the house. So, pepped up on an entire pot of coffee I scrubbed the counters and the sinks and the stove. I washed the toilets and the mirrors. I vacuumed, I dusted, I almost mopped then decided I'd make Jon do that when he got home from his weekend away.
I have a tiny bit of work I have to do before our retreat tomorrow, but I think I'll do it after dinner. The 6 of us in my department are taking the day off to spend time working on our new strategic plan. My supervisor decided we could all come into work a little bit later, as long as we promise to work VERY hard...so I don't have to be at our meeting location until 9. MUCH better than 7:30.
I may get dressed and run up to World Market. (Yes, I've been in my pajamas all weekend). They have super tasty scone baking mixes. I told everyone at work that if I felt inspired I would bake scones for our morning "thinking-fuel". Baking sounds like fun today...so I might do it. I also kind of want to make ham and bean soup. I've had the ham bone in our freezer since Easter, and I always cook when Jon is away. It passes the time, and then I don't have to cook for a while when he gets back.
