"I knew Darby Crash was doomed the same way I knew Sid Vicious was doomed the first time I met him. I actually shivered. Like Sid, Darby's life became an absolute commitment to recklessness ... he had no choice. Some people are like that. They're here for a very specific catalytic reason and their body and soul are here temporarily to perform a function on behalf of the psychic hygiene of the species and then they go. ...Some become street people who never get to express their destiny and some are very fortunate and land almost accidentally into a critical position in the popular culture."
-Genesis P-orridge, Former member of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, conceptualist of "industrial" art culture, friend of Darby Crash
"Darby was very specific about when and how he was going to kill himself. When we were rehearsing for the reunion show, he said 'The only reason I'm doing this is to get money to get enough heroin to kill myself with.'"
-Pat Smear, guitar player for The Germs and Nirvana

I read Lexicon Devil tonight. WAWAWEEWA! Those of you who haven't heard of the seminal LA punk band The Germs, there will be a major film about them in the next year or so... starring Bijou Phillips (meh...) and Lukas Haas, a friend of mine and a very cool duder. I was shocked that a friend was drafted for a movie about my favorite band... SHIZZNIT!
