We have a pool here at the complex. Our third day here, Ruby fell. She's been afraid of it ever since. Until tonight. It was in the 90s here today, and while I was biking back from the gym all I could think about was going for a swim when I got home. So Matt & I took the dogs down, I jumped in and then we threw Ruby in. She swam to me.. I held her and let her learn to trust me.. and then she got out. Then we tossed her back in.. she swam to me, I held her, she got out. We repeated this a couple more times, then we showed her the ball. She loves the ball.. and got to the point where we could through it in the deep end, she'd jump in the pool, retrieve the ball and swim to the steps & get out. Amazing! Our dog is finally a water dog
