this just reminds me of fond holidays in ireland, where there are road checkpoints but if you're a local it doesn't matter if you have no tax and bald tires. Only tourists get stopped.
and being late cause 2 people driving past each other stop in the middle of the road to have a chat.
no-one batting an eye at the partially blind 70yr old guy going 4 miles on his scooter to the bar getting shit faced and then riding it home every night.
and in south ireland as a kid you can go to anyones house if you're bored and they'll make you some sandwiches and give you a drink
