If you are a server and haven't read Waiter's Rant, get to it. After a night like last night when I was tipped $11 on a $208 tab and $5 on a $95 tab, I couldn't help but almost laugh because just before work I had read the chapter about the different types of tippers in the restaurant business. I understand that times are tough, people. But if you can't afford to leave your server 15% then maybe you should be looking in your kitchen pantry tonight instead of dining out. i could easily understand the poor tip if I hadn't provided great service but that was not the case. The majority of my income is from tips. No tips, no rent for Ali.
