Ive gotten really into fashion design lately. I'm working on my first piece now, a dress. I have worked on other things in the past, and actually made some pants some time ago. Unfortunately, they fell apart. That was in 9th grade. I should have spent the time working on something fashionable for myself but made it for someone who took up so much of my time I hardly had any other friends. So, I don't count that garment.
This one is purple and I'm trying to incorporate this green pleated/scrunched up top piece, and then adding straps and silk flowers.
If it looks horrible when I'm done, I probably won't post it here. If it looks great, then you (whomever the hell reads these besides like 2 or 3 people) can see it then! I've been watching Project Runway in hopes I'll pick up something interesting. Its too bad they want to focus on drama, there are like 100000000 other shows to watch that crap from. My favorite designers were the first two to get sent home, and this girl named Louise Black. Now it's just her and a bunch of "safe zone" designers. Boring. Oh well.
Life goes on. I move to the city soon. San Francisco, finally! The Bay Bridge was found to have a crack in it when they shut it down this weekend for that super inventive, highly improbable bridge drop section work they are doing. Super! I don't take the bridge that much but it seems like a scary yet almost hauntingly beauty of Industrial art deco design.
Still creeps me out tho.
Blah.
