ive beeeeen slackin. daaaaaamn.
alright. lets seee. whats been goin on.
my asshole roommate and i have been doing better. mostly by not talking. work is going fine. school is going fine. i went home last weekend and shot my new portfolio. i chose to take photos of all of this abandoned/weird crap out in the country. i used this giant view camera. makes 4x5 negatives. high detail, highly awesome. im using this a polaroid back instead of a film back. and im using type 55 polaroid. which creates a polaroid and a negative. the negatives tones and contrast are bizzare and awesome. i also used lighting in all of the shots. each shot took 30min+. it was crazy.
my parents just sold my car, fuckn finally. and they put all the money directly into my bank account. they gave explicit instructions to only spend it on my current transportation. ie my bike. i got a $350 wheel set and new cranks, new chain ring and a new bottom bracket. wooooo! my bike rides so fast, so clean, so amazingly different. im in love. hahah ok not really but its amazing. i even got some pretty sweeeet hollaaas lately. from some qt's in whicker park, and from some other bikers.
i was sorta datin this girl for a bit. but she completely flaked off. whatevs. i dont really care. i dont know why, but i dont really care.
its been like 10 minutes since i was last typing. i was watching fox news and this women paints pictures for free of dead soldiers from iraq. nice portraits. great work. it made me think of my friend patrick who died a little over a year ago. i miss him. i never respected his decisions or understood why he wanted to join up. but i respect him more than anything. i need a tissue. im done with this post. heres a pic of the new ride.
and this. old. but recently put together.
