Things that suck to find out before a date: she has a boyfriend. The sort that checks her phone. And then calls you repeatedly. Of course I don't pick up on numbers I don't know with area codes I don't know. Then texts you to say back off and I know where you work. Which that's just laughable because I run a jewelry store in a part of town where the cops are bored, have an alarm system and keep a gun at my bench. Pretty standard for a jewelry store honestly. Really though, if this guy wants to cause trouble then he's in for more trouble than he can handle.
A little beside the point though. Yeah, if the boyfriend is checking her phone then he obviously has issues. Doesn't negate the fact that she's in some sort of relationship. Not a situation I care to deal with. It's not so much the drama as I don't want to mess with a guy like that in ways he can't imagine. Seriously, meet "face to face"? In brutal honesty, if she's the type to lead someone on without having them know details that could potentially hurt and frustrate them, then she deserves a guy like that.
